Brief History

  • 2002-ANGVA was established in South Korea with its Secretariat located in the city of Chuncheon in Gangwon Province
  • December 2003-1st Board election was held in Manila, Philippines on 15th December 2003. Datuk (Dr) Abdul Rahim Hj Hashim from PETRONAS was elected as first President for 2003-2005
  • December 2003-1st ANGVA Industry Workshop was held in Manila, 15th – 16th December 2003, together with BAQ2003 (Best Air Quality Conference & Exhibition by Clean Cities Initiatives), 17th – 19th December 2003.
  • July 2005-Inaugural International Conference & Exhibition, ANGVA 2005, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (July 26-28th, 2005) hosted by PETRONAS and Malaysian Gas Association.
  • July 2005- Datuk (Dr) Rahim was re-elected as President of ANGVA for 2005-2007 during the ANGVA’s Biennial Meeting on 28th July 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
  • February 2007- A Strategic Planning Meeting was held in Kuala Lumpur (Feb 5-6th 2007) to prepare a strategic plan for ANGVA for the next 5 years.
  • July 2007-ANGVA Board endorsed the Strategic Plan for implementation at its 11th Board Meeting in Tehran, Iran
  • August 2007-ANGVA appoint a full-time Executive Director to head its new Secretariat office in Bangi, Malaysia.
  • November 2007-ANGVA held its second International Conference and Exhibition, ANGVA 2007, in Bangkok, Thailand (November 27-29th 2007), hosted by Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT) and Thailand NGV Association
  • November 2007-Dr Chitrapongse Kwangsukstith from PTT was elected as President of ANGVA for 2008-2009 during the ANGVA Biennial General Meeting on 28th November 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand.
  • October 2009 – ANGVA 3rd Biennial Conference & Exibition (ANGVA 2009) was held in Donghae City, South Korea. It was hosted by City of Donghae.
  • October 2009 – Mr. Wichai Pornkeratiwat of PTT was elected as President of ANGVA at the ANGVA Biennial General Meeting on 28th October 2009 in Donghae City, South Korea.
  • October 2011 – ANGVA 4th Biennial Conference & Exhibition (ANGVA 2011) was held in Beijing, China. It was hosted by China Automotive Technologies & Research Center (CATARC).
  • October 2011 – Mr. Hesham Ali Mustafa of Emirates Gas LLC was elected as President of ANGVA at the ANGVA Biennial General Meeting on 19th October 2011 in Beijing, China.
  • November 2013 – ANGVA 5th Biennial Conference & Exhibition (ANGVA 2013) was held in Greater Noida, India. It was hosted by GAIL Gas Limited.
  • November 2013 – Mr. Hesham Ali Mustafa of Emirates Gas LLC was re-elected as President of ANGVA at the ANGVA Biennial General Meeting on 28th November 2013 in Greater Noida, India.
  • November 2015 – ANGVA 6th Biennial Conference & Exhibition (ANGVA 2015) was held in Chengdu, China. It was hosted by China Automotive Technologies & Research Center (CATARC).
  • November 2015 – Mr. Danny Praditya of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Indonesia was elected as President of ANGVA at the ANGVA Biennial General Meeting on 5th November 2015 in Chengdu, China.
  • October 2017 – ANGVA 7th Biennial Conference & Exhibition (ANGVA 2017) was held in Tehran, Iran. It was hosted by the Iranian CNG Manufacturers Association, Iranian CNG Association, Alternative Fuel Association, and Tamkar Gas Equipment Co.
  • November 2017 – Mr. Danny Praditya of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) was re-elected as President of ANGVA at the ANGVA Biennial General Meeting on 1st November 2017 in Tehran, Iran.
  • November 2019 – ANGVA 8th Biennial Conference & Exhibition (ANGVA 2019) was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was organized by All Events Group, Singapore and supported by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).
  • November 2019 – Mr. Guan Yu of China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) was elected as President of ANGVA at the Biennial General Meeting on 26th November 2019 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
