The Asia Pacific region is the fastest growing economic region in the world. As a result air pollution of major cities in the Asia Pacific region is getting worse day by day. This is predominately caused by the fast growing vehicle population that is mostly powered by gasoline and diesel. Accordingly, NGVs are one of the best solutions to counter this serious environmental threat. For now the Asia-Pacific region has deeply committed itself to improve environmental quality through major investments to both clean-up and protect the environment.

For these objectives, ANGVA was established in 2002. ANGVA was inaugurated as an international organization dedicated to the development of a growing sustainable and profitable market for vehicles powered by natural gas and hydrogen.

ANGVA provides NGV related information to members and helps members to communicate and share their experiences for improving the NGV industry in their countries. Moreover ANGVA is dedicated to developing an industry with highest technical and safety standards covering the entire Asia Pacific region. ANGVA also involves the leadership of the NGV community to influence activities and policies that provide increased market opportunities.
